Meet Kelly (she/her)! She was a two-time shanty artist on Medicine Lake, and is a current board co-chair. When not doing board business, she spends her time as a Graphic Designer! During her Art Shanty board tenure she has contributed her existing graphic design skills (did ya like our poster?!) and also challenged herself to learn how to raise money for a non-profit. She says, “I’ve come out of my shell a bit and learned how to be brave and leverage my network.” She describes her fellow board members as “dedicated, loyal, playful” and her board experience as 🔨🧤🥔 When asked about her relationship with winter, she says “My mom would always joke that ‘you were born on the coldest day of the year’ so I’ve always worn that as a badge. I love the stark beauty and quiet that comes with winter months.” �Something she’d like prospective board members to consider: “Now is the time to support the things we love, because they can so easily go away.” ☔️🎢☀️While the weather can’t make up its mind lately (is it summer? Is it spring?) we’ve got our hearts set on next winter.
