The Fischer Sundae Puppets

The Fischer Sundae Puppets provide children, parents and caregivers programs that promote literacy and develop creativity.  Programming is provided to public libraries, schools, daycare centers, churches and community agencies.  Through the use of stories based on children's literature as well as original stories and music, programs are designed to promote skills in listening, reading, language development and creativity.  All aspects of each program are performed live. The puppets are created from a variety of materials; socks, paper sacks, kitchen utensils, found objects, felt and fur-cloth in order to demonstrate and encourage children to experience and realize how ordinary items can be transformed through creativity and imagination. Audience participation and engagement contribute to the development of skills in listening, following simple directions and positive social interactions and promote success in formal educational environments.
