Northern Illinois Pug Rescue & Adoption Inc. (NIPRA) was a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming abandoned and stray Pug dogs. The organization aimed to place these dogs in permanent, loving homes within the community.

NIPRA was established to address the needs of Pugs requiring care and new homes. Over its operational life, the organization rescued and rehomed over 1,000 Pugs, making it a significant force in supporting these animals[2].

The organization achieved its mission by successfully rehoming a large number of Pugs. As of December 31, 2023, NIPRA ceased its operations after finding homes for all Pugs in its care.
