Irish Genelogical & Historical Society

We foster an appreciation for the history and genealogy of Ireland by collecting and preserving histories, genealogies, and other manuscript materials illustrative of life conditions, events, and activities of the past and present. We promote interest and knowledge of past events, cultural heritage and the people who were associated with Ireland in order to instill a sense of pride in the history through this preservation and education. Consistent with this objective, we strive to collect resources, acquire facilities to house resources, function as a repository for items of historical significance, as well as implement technologies. We encourage interest in local history through meetings, lectures, publications, websites, discussion boards and other public forums.
