PeaceBrix is a US-based non-profit that boxes up curated Lego packages for schools around the world. Lego play is linked to improved STEM skills and competencies, a critical part of empowering women. PeaceBrix distributes STEM learning resources to kids in need, in Chicago and eventually around the world. We collect thousands of pounds of LEGO donations annually, and our volunteers package them up in individual kits for kids and provide them to schools and other youth-oriented organizations. Our reason for being is to enable kids of all ages (but primarily in 4th and 5th grade) to experience the joy of learning Science and Physics concepts through the magic of LEGOs. We aspire to bring out the scientist in every kid, and allow them to see that STEM careers are fun and worth training for.
