This Thursday is April's "Coffee Hour" event at the Taber Museum! We'll be hosting Arthur Sterngold on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at 10 am in the Taber's Community Room. Sterngold will be speaking on Using Photography to Rediscover the Physicality of Place. The lecture is FREE and OPEN to the PUBLIC. As an undergraduate student at Princeton University, Arthur studied fine art photography with Emmet Gowin, a renowned artist whose works have been exhibited worldwide. He has had solo exhibitions at the Lycoming Arts Gallery in Williamsport, the Artspace Gallery in Bloomsburg, and the GSVCC Gallery in Selinsgrove. Over forty of Arthur’s photographs are on display at the Silk Mill Complex in Hughesville, where his studio is also located. In his photography, Arthur likes to highlight places and subjects that characterize everyday life in Northcentral Pennsylvania, such as backyard birds, bubbling creeks, blossoming flowers, bent spoon garden art, and barnyard billy goats. These things might seem trivial to some people, but they add meaning and joy to everyday life in our region, and they strengthen our shared sense of community and place.
