An incredibly moving day at the FDNY promotion ceremony for 83 members! We were especially honored to recognize Firefighter Mark Dziemian, now Lieutenant Dziemian. Mark bravely battled a 2-alarm fire on March 16th, suffering cardiac arrest while operating. He remains hospitalized, and we are profoundly grateful for his courage and sacrifice. The UFOA was proud to attend the 51st annual FDNY/NYPD Hockey Game on Saturday, a great event raising funds for numerous FDNY charities. It was a hard-fought battle, with the FDNY ultimately winning 6-2. The FDNY continues their winning streak, having won 8 of the last 9 games (with one tie). It was a great day of camaraderie for FDNY and NYPD families alike, highlighting the support and solidarity between our departments in serving New York City. (fb)
