GET INVOLVED! The La Jolla Community Foundation’s mission is to encourage civic engagement and pride through local philanthropy. The La Jolla Community Foundation (LJCF) is dedicated to supporting projects and services that enrich La Jolla's environmental, cultural, and commercial community. Our current capital improvement initiative, the Village Streetscape Plan, aims to enhance walkability, accessibility, and aesthetics while revitalizing the local economy. This plan will broaden pedestrian zones, narrow crosswalks, and introduce corner parks featuring seating areas surrounded by canopy trees and drought-tolerant plants. Additional enhancements will include new pavement, improved stormwater drainage channels, and upgraded lighting. Once implemented, this initiative will transform key areas into vibrant, dynamic spaces that capture the unique spirit of La Jolla, benefiting residents, visitors, and local businesses.
