Handsome bachelor stallions Arey & Bartonia on a beautiful summer night last year! Arey was born in 2019 to mare Ferra and stallion Brutus. Arey became a bachelor in 2022 after being kicked out of his natal band by stallion Marty. Arey has tried to gain mares but can't seem to keep them. He held Maine and her filly Edith until the end of September when he lost them to stallion Heph. Bartonia was born in 2020 to mare Democracy and the late stallion Copper. Bart became a bachelor at just a year old and hung out with stallion Guardian and his mare at the time, Antice. He has since joined a group of young bachelors. Over the last few weeks I have been able to spend a lot of time with Arrowhead and his band. I took this photo last week of stallion Arrowhead and mare Justice with their son, 2021 stallion Tescher(Cadet), in the middle. Arrowhead has been trying to kick Tescher out, as well as 2021 stallion Marquis(Sterling). Their moms aren't ready to let their sons go yet so it is proving to be quite the challenge for Arrowhead. Only time will tell if he will succeed in kicking the boys out or if they will remain with the band. As always, stay tuned! ~Sierra (fb)
