Home of the Country's Youngest #Shakespeare Troupe! Non-Profit provides Underserved Kids with a Safe Space to Build Confidence, Inner Strength, & Literacy. #F4F SYF is a community of children and youth from Los Angeles and across the globe who, through the magi In the spirit of cultural generosity and with the goal of creative excellence, we create diverse communities of belonging and self-empowerment with children and youth locally and across the globe through the magic of theater … and we do it all in Iambic Pentameter. We use the diverse themes of Shakespeare, universal to the human condition, to shed light on the consequences of our choices. Our Players tell stories, decode the language, improvise, role play, and rehearse. All this culminates in a public performance. Through these practices, the students organically develop a personal relationship with the play and its characters. In this process, we build literacy, communication skills, self-esteem and a strong community spirit.
