The Upper School Student Library Council (SLC) wrapped up another successful school year with their annual end-of-year activity of purchasing and adding books to the Upper School book collection 📚. Each spring, members of the Library Council head to Books on the Square to select books for the Prescott Library. Then, they process the books and make them available for the community to borrow. “SLC students are passionate about this activity, as they make sure that student perspectives and interests are reflected in the collection,” says Upper School Librarian Mireille Sturmann. “They also get a dual education in information access and budgeting.” This year, SLC students selected 103 books to add to the collection! ✨ As we approach summer break🌞, Ms. Sturmann says that Upper School students and faculty are welcome to borrow books from the Prescott Library for their summer reading. “Make sure to borrow yours before the end of the year!” she adds.📖 @booksonthesq (fb)

A huge thank you to everyone who attended yesterday’s New Family and Mentor Meet & Greet, organized by Wheeler’s Enrollment and Advancement teams! The event offered new and returning families a fantastic opportunity to connect, share insights, and begin building meaningful relationships within the school’s community. Mentor families, who will be invaluable resources throughout the year (and hopefully beyond!), warmly welcomed our newest families with open arms. New families mingled and enjoyed refreshments and tasty bites while being symbolically handed off from the Enrollment team to the rest of the Wheeler community.
