Sustainable Cambodia, Inc.
We empower Cambodian village families to build self-sustaining communities, with healthy water, good food, sustainable incomes and village schools for the children. In our participatory empowerment model, the families learn leadership. They create Village Development Committees to organize and oversee the projects. When the families have safe water & sanitation, and income from agriculture, they can keep their children in school. More than 25,000 rural Cambodian families have been in the program, with thousands of children in the schools and hundreds having gone on to Cambodian universities on scholarships from our program. While creating a self-sustaining quality of life in their villages, the families commit in return to passing on the gift by helping other families in other villages.
