Winsor sent a delegation of 14 students to the 51st annual NHSMUN conference in New York City, one of the most diverse Model United Nations events in the world. With over 3,000 participants from more than 70 countries, the conference offered a unique global perspective. Students from grades V, VI, VII, and VIII worked collaboratively in committees to address critical issues such as climate change, indigenous rights, and international law. They delivered speeches, engaged in debates, and crafted resolutions aimed at addressing some of the world’s most urgent challenges. At the closing ceremony, Winsor was honored with the Award of Excellence in Research and Preparation. The experience was a remarkable opportunity for diplomacy, problem-solving, and growth. (fb)

Before break, Class II, under the direction of Ms. Elizondo and Ms. Callanan, had an exciting hands-on experience dissecting sheep hearts as a culminating activity for the circulatory system unit. Students explored the heart’s chambers, valves, and blood vessels up close, reinforcing their understanding of how blood flows through the body. This interactive lab helped bring lessons to life, sparked curiosity and deepened students’ appreciation for the complexity of the human heart! (fb)
