Last week, all past and present board members were invited to a celebration at Sarah's Guest House to reveal our new WALL OF HONOR - commemorating all those individuals, foundations, and corporations who helped complete Phase One of our house expansion project: More Space. More Love. We also dedication the newly expanded kitchen in honor of House Expansion Campaign Chair Carol Smith Falcone! Carol’s legacy of compassion and service lives on in the heart of the home—the kitchen—where warmth, nourishment, and connection are shared daily among guests and caregivers alike. Her name now graces the space that embodies the comfort and care she so deeply championed. The big reveal of the House Pillars Donor Wall of Honor was another powerful highlight. Each name engraved represents the strength and faith of those who helped carry Sarah’s Guest House into a new chapter. This wall not only honors their commitment—it inspires continued hope and healing for all who walk through our doors. The night was filled with emotion, reflection, and joy. More than anything, it showed the depth of love and support that surrounds Sarah’s Guest House. We are humbled and grateful for every person who has made this expansion possible and who continues to believe in the work we do. Together, we are building a stronger home—one filled with hope, care, and lasting impact. Phase 1 of the expansion included the completion of the construction and renovations on the new side of the house, allowing us to double in size and occupancy and increase handicapped accessibility including an elevator for guests unable to use the stairs. Phase 2 of the project is now underway with a goal of raising an additional $300,000 for our remaining essential and critical capital needs including a new roof, a new boiler, energy efficient windows, a new fence for the backyard, and funding for the continuation of key staff for the new side of the house. There is still plenty of room on the Wall of Honor for additional donor names to be added as we continue to raise funds for Phase 2. Anyone who pledges $1,000 or more (can be paid in installments over the timing of your choosing), will be added to the wall as part of the expansion and your name will be a legacy at the house and remain in perpetuity symbolizing your generosity and belief in our mission for years to come!
