The George Foundation is dedicated to the welfare of children in India, especially those who are victims of poverty and social discrimination. The foundation began with Shanti Bhavan (a world-class free boarding school for very poor children) in 1997, and continues to provide several humanitarian services. To date, TGF runs a school for children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, creates employment opportunities for poor women, and runs a rural clinic for primary healthcare.
