The Brookfield Library opened its 9600 square foot library in 1975 at the current location. The building was designed to accommodate a collection of 35000 items. Todays collection of 65000 means that the building is bursting at the seams and can no longer meet the demand for seating work study and quiet space additional technology and community meeting space.
