Mark your calendars—there’s something for everyone! 📖 Writers-in-Residence Reading & Community Discussion 🗓 Wednesday, June 11 | 6:30–8:30 PM Nine local writers will present their works-in-progress in a unique outdoor reading experience around the mansion grounds, followed by a discussion in the ballroom hosted by Carla Molina. Light refreshments provided. In case of rain, the event will be held entirely indoors. ✨ Free and open to the public. 🎤 Frederick Douglass Reading & Lecture 🗓 Saturday, June 14 | 2:00 PM Acclaimed actor Joe Wilson Jr. will present an abridged reading of Douglass’ powerful speech “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” followed by a lecture with Willie A. Wilson Jr. and Charlot Lucien on Douglass’ work in New England and Haiti. 🎟️ Free and open to the public, thanks to BayCoast Bank. Registration is encouraged for seating.
