Last week, our Gleaning & Food Recovery Coordinator, Alec, and Director of Programs, Cherry, attended the Vermont Gleaning Collective's quarterly meeting in Burlington. The VGC is a statewide partnership of gleaning organizations that work together to support farmers, residents, and the food system. In 2024, participating organizations and their dedicated volunteers gleaned nearly 314,000 pounds of fresh produce from farms to distribute for free across Vermont. (fb)
