Hollis Webb and Kevin Green recently completed a façade restoration at the former Star of the Sea youth hostel, originally constructed as the Surfside Life Saving Station in 1874. Their work included replicating decorative truss work which had deteriorated beyond repair. Both Hollis and Kevin are graduates of the North Bennet Street School's Preservation Carpentry program and received scholarships through Nantucket Preservation Trust's Mary Helen and Michal Fabacher Scholarship fund.
