We are sad to announce that our Program Coordinator, Marissa Ginger's last day is today, May 9th. She has gotten her dream job back in her home state of Missouri. Marissa has accepted a position as Senior Naturalist/Resource Interpreter for three Missouri State Parks (Knob Noster, Katy Trail, and Rock Island Trail). Marissa wanted to share the following: "It's never easy to say goodbye to a place that has shaped your heart--and Hunt Hill Nature Center has done just that. For the past two years, I've had the privilege of serving a community of passionate individuals dedicated to nature, learning, and connection. I will always look back fondly on memories during this chapter of my life, especially those made when working with the Summer Environmental Educators. Watching them grow, lead, and share their love of the natural world is a highlight I'll always treasure. While I'm excited for this next step in my career as Senior Naturalist/Resource Interpreter in Missouri, I'm incredibly grateful to everyone I've met along the way-- especially my coworkers who became more like family. Your support, laughter, and shared passion for the outdoors have meant the world to me. As Winnie the Pooh so perfectly said, "How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard."
