IMPMS INSTITUTE OF MEDIEVAL AND POSTMEDIEVAL STUDIES The Vision and Goals of IMPMS Goal and Objectives of IMPMS Institute of Medieval and PostMedieval Studies was established in 2001 incorporated in 2009 and obtained taxexempt status in 2012. Initially the main goal of the Institute of Medieval PostMedieval Studies IMPMS is to help generate a climate of mutual understanding and respect between Muslims and people of other faiths and cultures. In this way we aim to correct the concept of the dark ages when Muslim scholars and scientists enlightened the world with their original scientific contribution and quelled what has been labeled as a clash between Islamic and Western civilizations. In pursuit of this goal IMPMS seeks to reach out to people of all faiths with information about the significant contributions and contributors of the Islamic world in many fields of science and arts.
