New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE)

New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE) fights for a New York City where immigrant workers can live & work with dignity & justice ✊🏽💛 IG: NICE4workers New Immigrant Community Empowerment (NICE) is a nonprofit organization that has 22+ years of experience improving the lives of vulnerable immigrant workers in New York, with a focus on day laborers, domestic workers, and newly arrived immigrants. We offer an extensive set of services, community organizing, and leadership development programs. Since its inception, NICE has worked with predominantly undocumented workers and families from Latin America, with 15,000+ members currently registered to its community job center. We are located in the heart of immigrant-rich Jackson Heights, but serve community members from across NYC. Historically, NICE focused on day laborers who gathered at nearby "paradas" (corners where employers come to contract workers).
