Progeria is a fatal, 'rapid aging' disease that afflicts children, who die of heart disease at an average age of 14 years. PRF was founded in 1999 in response to the complete lack of resources and research on Progeria, and is the only organization in the world solely dedicated to discovering treatments and the cure for this devastating condition.
