Seeking Independence Finding Balance GAITs Mission To improve the quality of life of children and adults with special needs through equine activities and therapies resulting in a more independent life in society Why Horses. Riding and working with horses allows participants to learn through visual auditory and tactile methods. These interactions with the horse allow participants to explore their environment and gain new life skills through experiential learning. Establishing a partnership between horse and rider builds trust and increases confidence as they learn to work together.
