The County Programs Service Line and Mental Health Service Line represented SAM at the 8th annual ruOK 5k held at Penn State in Berks County. Lorena Keely was at the SAM table, sharing information about SAM services, while Andrea Rosa manned the Berks County Suicide Prevention Task Force table. Andrea Rosa and Melissa Shingle were among roughly 150 participants in the 5k run and 1.5-mile walk. Over 200 people attended the event, helping to raise around $15,000 for suicide awareness and intervention efforts. It was a beautiful day for an incredible event that supported such a crucial cause. Valerie Cunningham, Tammy Foreman, and Jazmine Kunes had a great time attending the Penn State DuBois Career Fair on March 26th! Not only did they have a blast representing SAM, but they also loved discussing just how future team members can spark change and positively impact lives throughout PA.
