Schodack Campership Initiative (SCI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the summer camp experience with children who come from underrepresented backgrounds. SCI's goal is to create scholarships, or “camperships,” so that children who otherwise could not benefit from the invaluable experience of summer camp may do so at no cost. SCI supports economically disadvantaged children and promotes a diverse community of campers at Camp Schodack (http://www.schodack.com/), and other summer camps.
