Enjoy this serene seal scene and transport yourself to the beauty of Narragansett Bay! Artist Amy Bartlett Wright is working on a new mural for Save The Bay's Hamilton Family Aquarium and giving updates along the way! Check back here every Monday for a sneak peek from Amy on her progress! #MuralMonday "The mural for our new interactive exhibit is taking shape. Every day, I make changes large and small that bring this conceptual painting to life. These photos show early color work and I am still using big, 3 inch wide brushes. Certainly you can see the direction I am going and it looks like the painting is painting itself. But every mural begins with a plan and this one has been in development for several months, involving education staff, construction work as well as research and model making. Painting is only one part of this exciting exhibit soon to come!" - Amy Bartlett Wright (fb)

TAKE ACTION! CRMC Reform Bill H 5706 will be heard Tuesday, April 8, at 5 pm in the House Committee on State Government & Elections. We urge advocates to join Save The Bay at the RI State House to provide testimony in person. For those unable to attend, written testimony may be submitted via email to the committee clerk at HouseStateGovernmentandElections@rilegislature.gov and referencing H 5706 in the subject line. Include your mailing address when submitting email testimony. Thank you, Representative Cortvriend and Attorney General Neronha for introducing and supporting this bill. Sample Email: Dear Committee, As a Rhode Islander, I support H 5706. Our coastal resources are too important to be left in the hands of unaccountable political appointees. Please pass this CRMC reform bill that makes RI's coastal agency more transparent, accountable, efficient, and effective.
