Include Autism
The mission of Include Autism is to provide a multifaceted approach to community-wide autism inclusion, offering progressive integrated programs and applied learning experiences for individuals of all abilities. The CDC reports that 1 in 88 children and 1 in 54 boys have autism. This staggering number calls attention to the fact that, as a society, we need to do more to ensure this large portion of our population is given the opportunity to thrive as active and included members of the community. To accomplish this we provide empowering community-based therapy for kids, teens, and young adults with autism, and we also teach members of the community about autism and ways to include individuals with autism in all aspects of community life. Formerly known as Community Coaching Center (CCC) we previously operated primarily as a provider of community-based social behavior therapy for youth with autism. With the increase in autism we have found ourselves rising up to do more to meet the growing needs of the autism community. To better express the scope of work we now encompass, we have become Include Autism, which better expresses our expanded impact, which now includes ABA therapy, an inclusive baseball league, and wide-reaching autism outreach and education programs that instill autism inclusion throughout the community. Our goal is to make San Diego a more welcoming place for individuals of all abilities, and to set an example for communities across the country.
