Congratulations to the Class of 2025! Last night, we welcomed Tony and Grammy Award-winning actress and singer Renée Elise Goldsberry—and proud GFA parent—as our Commencement speaker. Not only did she inspire with lessons about self-discovery, and that each of us is enough exactly as we are, she surprised us with an original song, calling on our graduates to burst through the daunting and thrilling open door before them. This week, our iconic Front Lawn will be the site of GFA’s 90th Commencement ceremony, and proud families and faculty will watch the Centennial Class of 2025 receive their Upper School diplomas. Did you know that the first seniors to graduate hail from Bolton’s Class of 1935, which included founder Mary Bolton’s daughter, Betty? The Class of 1960 was the first to graduate from the newly formed Kathleen Laycock Country Day School, and in 1971, seniors graduated from the school we know and love, Greens Farms Academy.
