This April Fools’ Day, we’re looking back at GFA’s Senior Prank Day—now a thing of the past—and the (mostly) mild mischief that came with it… The Class of 1983 put GFA “for sale” in the local paper, while the Class of 1986 arrived in matching t-shirts featuring a caricature of Headmaster Jim Coyle. One class built a towering chair sculpture in the library, and the Class of 1989 took apart a VW Bug and staged each half at opposite ends of the mansion. And when seniors shrink-wrapped every item in Headmaster Peter Esty’s office, he got the last laugh... by shrink-wrapping their diplomas. Touché, Mr. Esty.
