We build coalitions to protect the unique architectural heritage of Western New York and promote preservation and planning practices that foster healthy, livable and sustainable communities. The mission of The Landmark Society of Western New York is to discover, protect, and revitalize the architectural and related cultural heritage of the Rochester region, and to educate and inform our community about that heritage. We define the Rochester region as nine counties and look upon ourselves as the preservation authority for Rochester & Monroe County and a resource center for individuals, local governments and organizations in surrounding counties.
