The Watershed The Gualala River Watershed is located on Californias North Coast at the divide between Mendocino and Sonoma Counties just 100 miles North of San Francisco. The watersheds 740mile stream network flows through 191000 acres of woodlands grasslands and wetlands to the Pacific Ocean. As with most North Coast watersheds the habitat and water quality of the Gualala have been significantly impaired over the past 150 years.
