Friends of the Shelter - Somerset Our two major fundraisers are the annual spring Derby Day Party and fall Author Luncheon. Since our founding in 1987 weve raised more than two million dollars to support victims of domestic violence in central New Jersey. Individually members of Friends of the Shelter also volunteer their time helping to organize and support the Camp Fund holiday events special events and more. .
