Journey Through Hallowed Ground | National Heritage Area Gettysburg To Monticello Experience the fascinating historical and cultural landscape that is the Journey Through Hallowed Ground National Heritage Area a 180mile long 75mile wide region stretching from Gettysburg Pennsylvania to Thomas Jeffersons Monticello in Charlottesville Virginia. UPCOMING EVENTS Guided History Tour of Cedar Mountain Battlefield Exhibit 1781 Siege of Yorktown The 240th Anniversary A new exhibit presented by Jeff Thomas 1781 Siege of Yorktown The 240th Anniversary will be on display at Thomas Balch Library through the month of October 2021. It may be seen during regular library hours Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday from 10am4pm closed for lunch 121 pm Wednesday 2 pm730 pm. LEARNING THROUGH THE POWER OF PLACE The Journeys National Heritage Area gives visitors unique educational experiences at defining sites of American history and our awardwinning educational programs provide students and educators alike with oneofakind learning opportunities.
