Approximately 30,000 people commit suicide each year in the United States. Estimates suggest another 500,000 attempt suicide each year. Suicide is the leading cause of death among college students and the third-leading cause of death among those aged 15 to 24. These are troubling facts, and we?re not doing enough to change them. Living Proof Productions has two major aims: 1) to help prevent suicide by arming young adults with knowledge about its main cause, mental illness; and 2) to increase acceptance of mental illness and compassion for its sufferers.
