Introducing.....the cast of STOP KISS, by Diana Son! We are less than a week away from our staged reading. Meet the cast! Please note that this piece contains strong language and description of a violent assault. Not suitable for younger audiences. Buy Tickets Here: https://www.ticketleap.events/tickets/shermanplayers/stop-kiss-stage-reading Lizzy Booth (Director) is a New York and Connecticut based actor, director, and producer. She is also a graduate of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting's Professional Conservatory and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English in the Humanities and Philosophy. At the core of Lizzy's work is a deep devotion to exploring the complexities of human nature through art, as she believes that theater, in all its forms, is a powerful tool for fostering empathy, personal growth, and community. Most recently, Lizzy directed Always Burning, an original short play by Sarah C. Wolk, as part of the Masquerade Theatre’s Short Play Festival. She is also currently directing a drunk production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing at the Vino Theater in Brooklyn, which goes up on Sunday, June 1. Lizzy has also performed in several theaters across Connecticut and New York, and her Sherman Playhouse credits include: The Taming of the Shrew, The Tempest, Jack and the Beanstalk, and A for Alcoholic. Most recently, Lizzy played Beatrice in the Masquerade Theatre's production of Much Ado About Nothing and Friar Laurence in Kulturkanonen’s Romeo and Juliet. She is a frequent contributor to Naked Angels NYC as both an actor and a writer. As an actor, she trained at SUNY Purchase, Circle and the Square, and the Barrow Group. Favorite roles include Hannah in Stop All the Gaycism! (Emerging Arts Theater Spark Festival), Anita the Casting Associate in Basic Cable Method Acting (Queens Short Play Festival, Lower East Side Festival of the Arts, Elmwood Playhouse), Millie in Perfect Arrangement (Brookfield Theater of the Arts), Sylvia in Stepping Out (Sherman Playhouse), and Cuca in Night of the Assassins. She also produced and performed in her own play A For Alcoholic at the Sherman Playhouse. As a writer, her work has appeared in New York, CT, and Australia. She is proudly repped by Alexander Management. @morganakatewats/www.morganakatewatson.com Sarah C. Wolk (Sara) (she/her) is a writer and creative living in Connecticut. She recently made her playwriting debut with her one-act play Always Burning, which was featured in the Masquerade Theatre’s Short Play Festival. Favorite acting credits include The Masquerade Theatre’s virtual productions of Twelfth Night (Viola) and Much Ado About Nothing (Don Pedro, Watchman #2), and the St. Scholastica’s Shakespearean Players production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Helena). When not writing, Sarah can be found bothering her cats, playing DnD, or taking grainy iPhone photos of the moon. You may occasionally find some of those photos @sarah.wolkie on Instagram. Madison (Callie) is overjoyed to be taking on the role of Callie in STOP KISS! She made her debut on the Sherman stage as Candace Metzger in EVELYN IN PURGATORY. Other previous credits include Ismene in ANTIGONE (FineLine Theatre Arts), Greta Ohlsson in MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS (FineLine Theatre Arts), and Alex/Stephanie/Eve’s Shrink in LOVE, LOSS AND WHAT I WORE (Goshen Players). Andrés Idrovo Castillo (Peter) is excited to be in the staged reading of Stop Kiss! He thanks his cast-mates and director. Finally, a special thank you to his beautiful wife for always supporting him. Stacy-Lee Frome (Mrs. Winsley/Nurse) was last seen on the Sherman stage as Karen in “Dinner With Friends.” Stacy has had a long and varied career in local theatre, some of her favorite roles include: Lila Wadkins in “Evelyn in Purgatory,” Chelsea Thayer Wayne in “On Golden Pond,” Maria in “Twelfth Night,” Jessie in “Night Mother,” Bunny Flingus in “The House of Blue Leaves,” Vinnie Day in “Life With Father,” Sally Talley in “Talley’s Folly,” Lizzie Curry in “The Rainmaker,” Rose Arnott in "Enchanted April," Maggie Cutler in “The Man Who Came to Dinner” and Mme. de Tourvel in "Les Liaisons Dangereuses.” A big fan of staged readings, Stacy is so grateful to be part of this one. Sean Latasa (Detective Cole) has been part of many productions throughout New York and Connecticut and is excited to be part of a show with The Sherman Playhouse! Previous favorite credits include: 1776 (Thomas McKean), You Can’t Take It with You (Ed), 12 Angry Men (Juror 11), And a Nightingale Sang (Norman), Macbeth(Ross), Moon Over Buffalo (Howard), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Bottom), Night of the Assassins (Lalo), Hamlet (Horatio), Inherit the Wind (Henry Drummond),Twelfth Night (Malvolio), and Blithe Spirit (Charles). Kevoy Somerville (George) is a rising Junior BFA Acting major at Howard University from Waterbury, Connecticut. Their most recent work was Daniel Rogers in Douglas Turner Ward’s Big White Fog at Howard University. They have previously worked at Brookfield Theatre in Brookfield, Ct as Laertes in Hamlet and as Director for Mr.burns; a Post-Electric play. They are excited to return to their home state for this reading as George in Stop/Kiss! They can also be seen later this summer as Cornwall in Capital Classics Theatre Company’s King Lear! (fb)
