Ft. Defiance Clarksville Friends Of Fort Defiance Fort Defiance The Friends of Fort Defiance is comprised of community members from diverse backgrounds working together to help preserve and promote local history as it pertains to Clarksville and Middle Tennessee during the 19th century. We are dedicated to supporting enhancing and promoting Fort Defiance through the sponsoring of public presentations and educational historical demonstrations concerning 19th century life in general and the Civil War years in particular. Many of our members strive to present historically accurate characters at our events having the authentic clothing weapons and accessories of everyday life in the 19th century.
