As part of our Annual Community Awards, we’re proud to present the Amy Carpenter Scholarship Award — a tradition since 1989, established in memory of Amy Carpenter, a dedicated residential counselor at ASCEND Mental Wellness. This full-tuition scholarship is awarded each year to a second-year student at SUNY Adirondack pursuing studies in community mental health, criminal justice, or nursing. This year’s recipient is Haylee Mello, a passionate second-year nursing major whose commitment to health and community embodies this award's spirit.
