Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut

Follow Message Edit

The Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut is a “home away from home” housing children and their families who are being treated at nearby hospitals and healthcare facilities.      The Ronald McDonald House of Connecicut is the critical link that brings together specialized medical treatment and the children who desperately need it. By providing housing and supportive services to these families, RMH makes it possible for seriously ill children from around the state, the country and the globe to access specialized life-saving treatments not available in their local communities.  Without our “home away from home,” access to these life-saving treatments would not be possible. The Ronald McDonald House of Connecticut offers an environment of care, comfort, strength and healing to over a hundred families and their brave children each year. Children and their families live at RMH for weeks, months or even longer, if necessary. The actual costs of caring for a family is $100 per night, although we suggest a $15 daily donation -- NO family is ever turned away due to their inability to afford this! RMH relies on the generosity of individual, corporate and foundation support to help continue and strengthen our mission and allow us to continue serving families 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

I work in a nonprofit and listing our organization on Eduo.org helped us reach new audiences and even new volunteers. It’s easy to use and feels built with love.
