It was another successful Apprenticeship Works Day at the Empire Plaza North Concourse as several Union Trades, including the BAC, had displays and hands on demonstrations for the public to participate in. Numerous high school students and NY State Assembly and Senate Members, and NY Commissioner of Labor, Roberta Reardon, did their best in laying brick, cutting tile, patching stone and laying block with the MULE (Material Unit Lifting Enhancer). Thanks to all the apprentices from BAC NY Locals 1,2,3 & 7, for sharing your skills in how you are learning our trades. Thanks also to the staff of the NYSBCTC for hosting another fantastic event. Congratulations this year goes to the BAC Locals for winning the coveted and prestigious "Best In Show" award voted on by all those who attended. We look forward to next year and retaining the honor.
