Celebrate spring by exploring the humble dandelion with Spoonful Herbals. Using the practices of the honorable harvest, participants will forage for these common blooms to make delicious fritters, picnicking on the lawn with fresh flower crowns. This program is recommended for ages 3+ with an accompanying adult.

Shelburne Farms
Mid-May is a bridge season in our region: some local produce is available, but our Market Garden is just beginning to harvest a diversity of crops. To highlight local foods, our chefs often get most creative the first few weeks after the restaurant opens, utilizing overwintered and storage crops. That’s why this spiced sweet potato soup has been on the opening menu in recent years—a sweet potato is a delicious storage crop, and farmers often have them to sell in early May.
