IT'S A PARADE! Sort of. Clackamas Heritage Partners is thrilled to announce the second portion of the Curtis Heritage Education Center donation! The original emigrant wagon’s friends separate from the main collection and take to the streets today! They will move from the former collection storage to a warehouse being generously supplied by our Partners, The City of Oregon City. As we begin community outreach and refining our master plan with the City, we will also be preparing to build out this new exhibit. These wagons have never been openly available to the public. We intend to change that, and it all starts at noon when the convoy leaves Planet Fitness, heads down Beavercreek to Warner Milne, and then to Linn in route towards its future. We encourage you to take a moment to watch, but we also ask that you keep your eyes on the road. If you’re driving, obey all traffic laws and be safe. This is a convoy of trucks moving a large historic collection; it just looks like a parade. And don't worry, these wagons are built for outside weather conditions. Wanna know more? This community gathering is being generously supported by our partners, the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde.
