The WCNA was formed for the purposes of improving and ornamenting the streets, public squares and parks of Wakefield, Massachusetts, by planting and cultivating trees and other plants therein and by otherwise improving the physical, social, and cultural qualities of the downtown district and adjacent neighborhoods of Wakefield for the benefit of the inhabitants of the community.
