Did you know? The Transforming Leaders Virtual Curacy begins with an in-person retreat at an ECCC - Episcopal Camps & Conference Centers location. The location will change from year to year. Can you guess where we're going for the August 2025 Virtual Curacy opening retreat? Comment your answer! At the opening retreat, curates get to know one another and their Virtual Curacy Facilitator. The opening retreat sets curates up for success and focuses on topics such as "exploring the identity and spirituality of a parish priest" and "creating rhythms of prayer to cultivate wellness and avoid burnout." Have you heard? Transforming Leaders has added a fourth program to its suite of learning opportunities: the Virtual Curacy! The Virtual Curacy is designed for newly-ordained priests serving in their first calls. Participants will learn monthly in a cohort setting and receive weekly one-on-one support from their seasoned clergy mentor. Curates who complete the program requirements will receive a Certificate in Pastoral Leadership from Yale University. This program is not simply another academic course of study, but an introduction to a way of life rooted in Christ-centered servant leadership. Applications are now open for the inaugural cohort, which convenes this August. Tuition is offered on a sliding scale to dioceses based on available financial aid. Curates must have diocesan approval to apply. Questions can be directed to Executive Director Brandon Nappi or emailed to berkeley.communications@yale.edu. (fb)
