To encourage research, discussion, critical assessment, and dissemination of knowledge in these fields, ECS holds meetings, publishes scientific papers, fosters training and education of scientists and engineers, and cooperates with other organizations to promote science and technology in the public interest.Our Vision to Free the Science: Today, ECS is committed to an open access vision that will advance electrochemical and solid state science and technology, expand access to research and accelerate innovation for important global challenges. The Free the Science pledge is simple: ECS will continue to decrease subscription fees and author fees over time until there are no fees for anyone—making our content free to all authors, readers and libraries.
