What is the Brown Harano Photo Project? Glad you asked! Don Milroy generously donated all of the negatives from the Brown Harano Photo Studio when he retired. Our volunteers have cataloged 1000s of photos so that you can find pictures of your family. On our website, locate the Brown Harano tab & search our alphabetical lists to find any pictures of your relatives (or you!). This project is a fundraiser for the museum. In exchange for your pictures, we ask for a free will donation. We can even mail the pictures if you live outside of Lincoln County. Volunteers are here every Tuesday from 10am - 4pm to help you find your family photos. Unfortunately we cannot keep these photos forever; we will eventually dispose of them. (fb)

Depot In 1866 the Union Pacific laid out the town of North Platte and the tracks arrived that fall. Here you will learn how the railroad grew and even get a chance to imagine the excitement of a train arriving as you enter the Brady Island Depot built in the 1880s. Museum Events Throughout the year the museum offers events that give visitors a chance to experience history up close. Cowboy fast draw bailing hay Native American dancing even anvil shooting provide a picture into our past.
