We’re excited to introduce one of our favorite items from the Gift Shop - a simple, elegant Shachi fridge magnet, inspired by the statue in front of our tea house “Musoan 夢想庵. ” The shachi is a mythical creature from Japanese folklore, with the face of a lion and the body of a fish. Thought to summon rain and protect wooden buildings from fire, it has long adorned the rooftops of castles and temples.
