The Gravity Research Foundation offers five annual awards for short essays for stimulating thought and encouraging work on the phenomenon of gravitation. Awards are made for the best and most well-written essays about gravitation, its theory, applications, or effects. The five award-winning essays are published in a special issue of the International Journal of Modern Physic D (IJMPD). Authors designated Honorable Mention (about 35 each year) are invited to submit their essays to the IJMPD where they will undergo additional refereeing at editorial discretion for possible publication in the same special issue.
