Rubi Buelvas is by all accounts a gold-star foster parent. For the past 18 years, “Mamma Rubi” has cared for babies, teenagers and every age in between, with a commitment to learning all she can about how to support kids who have experienced disrupted families and trauma. She has changed the lives of countless children, and will soon be working alongside The Home’s Foster Care team as a certified teacher, training and sharing her lived experience with future foster parents, so they are as equipped as possible for their fostering journey. When you foster with The Home, you can count on our team, Rubi included, to always be behind you providing fundamental education and ongoing support. If you are considering fostering, we would love to hear from you. For information about The Home’s Comprehensive Foster Care program, please contact us at fostercareinfo@thehome.org. #FosterCareAwarenessMonth #fostering #fosterparenting (fb)

The Home for Little Wanderers invites you to a special silent art auction at Clifford Academy, featuring 21 works created by our students! Join us Friday, May 30, at the school from 1-3pm for complimentary hors d'oeuvres, plants, crafts and edible goodies for sale, and of course, original pieces of art up for auction, all produced by the talented students at Clifford Academy. All proceeds will directly support the art program and assist in supplying congratulatory gift cards to participating artists. Everyone is welcome! For more information or to receive a link to bid remotely, please contact Principal William Baga at wbaga@thehome.org. (fb)
