Former LI student and dancer, Shani Stoddard '07, returned to campus today to work with the Dance Company on a musical theater piece! Now a performing arts educator, Shani studied musical theater in NYC and dance in Vermont before building a career in performance and arts education. “The arts at LI set me on my path,” Shani shared. “Returning to teach is so meaningful—community connection keeps the arts alive.” Shani's visit was made possible through a grant from Ben & Jerry’s. Outdoor Recreation and Land Resource Management students Jasper Peacock, Raymond Powers, Connor Wood and Anna Thomas recently enjoyed a VIP tour with Zach Hale ‘23 of @Paul Smith's College. They explored all parts of campus—shooting hoops in the gym, attending a lecture on ornithology and herpetology, visiting the ESports club room, touring the full sawmill, and even savoring a handcrafted maple dessert prepared by the school's chef.
