Since 1907, JAANY has been the heart of the Japanese community in the New York Area. We serve our community through bilingual social services, educational programs, and community outreach. With a strong sense of diversity, we have always been a collaborative forum, celebrating and sharing our Japanese culture and heritage with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Sakura Matsuri Each year JAA holds a Sakura Matsuri at Flushing Meadows Corona Park where weve planted cherry blossom trees. Tanabata One of JAAs newest annual events is Tanabata which celebrates the love story of Orihime and Hikoboshi. We hold it each year at the East River Promenade inside Carl Schurz Park E 86th Street JAA Gala Our JAA Gala is our largest fundraiser of the year. We celebrate the successes of the organization with supporters at Harvard Club.
